There are some notable and important changes to this year’s SLC based on feedback from advisers and students:

1.  Written tests – all written testing will be completed at home campuses before the conference weekend.  Other states as well as Nationals have already migrated to this type of testing with incredibly successful results.  Specific information on online testing will be posted to the "Competitive Events Information" section of the website when it's available.  Remember, the Iowa PBL advisers voted unanimously to proctor all online written tests.  A proctor sheet will be required for each chapter, indicating the tests were properly supervised.

2.  Based on past feedback and the fact that all written tests are completed in advance of the conference weekend, we are excited to offer students a new skill development program during SLC.  This year, students will choose (in advance) a specific conference "path" that will guide their customized leadership experience.  These "paths" will consist of specific components of a larger topic where students can gain valuable knowledge.  The specific paths can be found in greater detail on the "Schedule Information" link.

In addition, the University of Iowa, State Officers and State Committee are putting together a special networking event to take place on Saturday morning.  Information on this creative and exciting event can be found on the "Schedule Information" link!
