State Leadership Conferences

The Iowa State Leadership Conference is a two-day event held at the college or university that the current state president attends. During this conference, students can test their business skills by competing in events in areas such as accounting, desktop publishing, digital video production, hospitality management, impromptu speaking, parliamentary procedure, and sport management and marketing among many others. The state leadership conference is planned and executed by the state officer team and state committee. During the conference, members can run and campaign to become state officers themselves during the general sessions. Members and advisers from different chapters all over the state can get to know one another better during the social event the first night as well as the anticipated banquet dinner and awards program on the second night. Excellent keynote speakers during both general sessions inspire everyone to work harder in the future and be proud of what has already been accomplished. Overall, the state leadership conference is the culmination of each Iowa chapter's hard work during the year striving towards excellence in service, education, and progress.

State Fall Leadership Conferences

The Iowa State Fall Leadership Conference is a two-day event held at the college or university that state officers choose. During this conference, students will hear keynote speakers, attend workshops, meet other members, advisers, and officers, and have fun at the Friday night social. The state fall leadership conference is planned and executed by the state officer team and state committee. The workshops engage the students to have fun while learning how to improve themselves, their chapter, and other members. Workshops are lead by state officers, state committee members, and community members.

National Leadership Conferences

FBLA-PBL members have the competitive edge, as the best and brightest of FBLA and PBL convene to compete in leadership events, share their successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their career future through workshops and exhibits at the annual National Leadership Conference. This four-day conference is considered the pinnacle of the FBLA-PBL experience, especially for those running for national office. FBLA-PBL has forged partnerships with industry leaders to underwrite competitive events and scholarships for students achieving national ranking.

National Fall Leadership Conferences

National fall leadership conferences are similar in format to state fall leadership conferences. Several conferences are held in different cities in various regions across the country. The national fall leadership conferences are unique in that FBLA and PBL members attend at the same time. The conferences have more workshops with excellent leaders, fantastic keynote speakers, and more members, advisers, and officers to get to know.
