This year the State Fall Leadership Conference (SFLC) will be held on November 4th and 5th at Grand View University. There are several workshops scheduled for this conference, which will provide you with career information and develop your skills to be a better leader. Grand View University’s President is also scheduled to welcome everyone to this event. This year’s keynote speaker is Angie Chaplin.

Due to Ryan Steines taking the role of State Adviser, there is an open position on the State Committee. The Professional Division Liaison provides a crucial link between current and former members of the organization. Members of the Professional Division provide important support to PBL through being judges and speakers at conferences, sponsoring events at conferences, and being a resource for local chapters.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition recently came to Northeast Iowa. The week-long project took place during the first week in October in West Union, Iowa. Four students from Upper Iowa's PBL chapter helped with the effort, along with many other people from the University and community. It was a rewarding experience to help a family in need and change their lives forever!
